Michelle (Elle) Woeller’s interest in design started at a young age, when she would spend hours at her dad’s drawing board, designing floor plans. Her parents were also avid gardeners and instilled in her an appreciation for the beauty outdoors.
Michelle graduated with a degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from Seattle Pacific University, where she also studied interior design. She worked in both retail settings and product design before leaving the work world to focus on raising her children. While at home, she was constantly striving to blend beauty and comfort with function and organization in both her interior and exterior spaces.
In 2006 she went back to the drawing board as lead designer for her husband’s landscaping company where she collaborates with him on designing outdoor spaces. She has worked on both residential and commercial properties in Boston and throughout Massachusetts.
But her passion for interior spaces has always remained. Her project for the last several years has been the renovation and redesign of her family’s 100 year old New England home, which has been transformed from dark and dated to light and breezy, classic and comfortable, with a splash of the coast.
In 2013, she launched Summerland Homes & Gardens, a company dedicated to beautiful design for indoor and outdoor spaces.
